What I Know

I studied full-stack programming at kood/Sisu from March 2024 to March 2026, doing collaborative real-life projects, and since then I have continued improving my skills and learning new technologies on my own.

I received an outstanding average feedback rating of 5/5 in both soft skills and technical skills from 99 peers during the kood/Sisu program, and graduated in the top 4 % of students in my batch.

Who I Am

Hi, I'm Henna Venho, and I'm passionate about coding and finding my place in the IT industry. I aspire towards cybersecurity and sustainable development in software engineering. I completed a 2-year full-stack development study program at kood/Sisu coding school in March 2026, where we implemented real-life projects and learned new technologies in an intense pace. I am proud of how far I and my team-mate could come in such a short time, and want focus on the potential we have for growing and learning quickly in the future as well.

As specialization modules I studied Cybersecurity, and Embedded Systems. In Cybersecurity, both offensive and defensive techniques were explored with hands-on projects that simulated real-world attack methods. Topics included reconnaissance, exploitation, data concealment, and binary-level evasion, giving insight into how systems are targeted and manipulated in practice. The Embedded Systems module was based on a hardware-oriented and low-level programming approach. Projects were developed using Arduino-compatible microcontrollers, but without relying on the Arduino IDE or its high-level libraries, and instead writing the firmwares in pure C. Projects included building a functional scale model of a lift system with a modern DTCM, designing and building an intelligent real-world security system, and building a Bluetooth-powered embedded ordering system that connects a customer interface device to a kitchen-side application. Please check out the projects in 'My Projects' tab.

I have a Master's Degree in English, and being now in my early 40s and having started my work career working a summer job every year since the age of 12, I have accumulated almost 30 years of work experience. I've done pretty much everything related to supply chain management, from production planning to shipping, and I've worked in customer service for the sales organizations of nearly 150 countries.

I've received remarkable feedback on my communication and collaboration skills, as well as my critical thinking abilities. I am also well-organized and detail-oriented, as well as tenacious at problem-solving.

In the workplace, I especially value good team spirit and teamwork, effective communication, authenticity, fairness, and mutual flexibility.
